General Policy

Advance Deposit Policy

  • Green and High Season:
    50% payment 30 days prior to arrival.
  • Peak Season:
    Deposit of 50% must be done before August 1st or since the reservation is confirmed by the reservations department. Remaining amount 60 days prior to arrival. If the reservation is not paid, this will be cancelled.
  • Direct Reservations:
    First night deposit for all the reservations the same day of booking.

Acceptable Payment

  • Credit card payments or Pay Pal
    Credit card payments, wire transfers or Pay Pal Payments to our US or local bank accounts in US dollars are our preferred method of payment.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be received in writing in order to process. Any cancellation mane on a confirmed booking will be subject to a penalty fee based on La Posada’s cancelation policy. Confirmed transportation and activities are non-refundable.
  • Green season:
    Up to 15 days prior to arrival: One night penalty for every room reserved.
    • 14 to 8 days to arrival: 50% penalty
    • 7 days or less to arrival: 100% penalty
  • Peak season:
    Up to 60 days prior to arrival: One night penalty for every room reserved.
    • 59 to 31 days to arrival: 50% penalty
    • 30 days or less to arrival: 100% penalty.
  • High Season:
    Up to 30 days prior to arrival: One-night penalty for every room reserved.
    • 29 to 15 days to arrival: 50% penalty.
    • 14 days or less to arrival :100% of penalty.

Room rates

  • All room rates are based on double occupancy:
    All room rates are based on double occupancy. Rates cannot be guaranteed more than 12 months out. Hotel La Posada will reserve the right to adjust room rates without notification, but will honor confirmed reservations

Travel Agencies

  • 20% of commission:
    We offer 20% of commission to all the locals and international travel agencies, request in advance by email.

Taxes, Gratuity and Service Charge

Check-in / Check-out Procedures

Guests are welcome to use cash or credit cards. Guests who have not made prior arrangements through travel agents may guarantee their reservations by credit card. Upon check-in, a credit card will be required for miscellaneous charges. Check-in time: 3:00 PM, Check-out time: 11:00 AM.

Group Deposit Requirements

All group reservations (more than 5 rooms) are considered tentative until the required deposit is received and accepted. The minimum nights requested for groups will be 4 nights. Upon confirmation of reservation, 50% of the total cost must be paid within seven days. At 60 days before group arrival, full payment must be received.

Gratuity and Service Charges

A government-mandated gratuity of 10% is charged on all food and beverage services.
